• Behind The Screams: HAUNTED CARNIVAL is an immersive haunted house brought to you by 1D Studios, a real film production company and studio space in Ottawa, ON, Canada. The experience traverses a pathway through multiple rooms and spaces, featuring scare actors and special effects, that are designed and decorated by film industry professionals.

  • The journey through our Haunted Carnival lasts on average approximately 15 minutes depending on the time one takes to go through. Please note that there may be an additional wait for entry into the experience at peak hours. We also have a gift shop/ concession, games, themed seating area and plenty of photo ops outside of the haunted house, so please allow yourself at least 45 minutes to an hour for the entirety of your visit.

  • We allow groups of up to 5 people to enter the house at a time.
    If your group is more than 5, we will ask you to split yourselves up 🔪🩸

  • Absolutely! Tickets can be purchased here. We recommend snagging them in advance to ensure you don’t miss out on the ghoulish fun and to lock in your preferred time.

  • Yes, you can purchase tickets at the door, but beware—the ghouls at the door charge a bit more for door prices. Payments can be made by credit, debit, or cash, but securing your tickets online is the best way to guarantee your spot.

  • Unfortunately no, there are no group discounts. For very large groups and event inquiries please contact us.

  • We have no enforced age restrictions however our regular and exscream options are best suited for teens and adults. We do offer chicken hours earlier in our day for families and younger children or those who are concerned about their reaction to the scarier experience.

  • You bet! We’ve got plenty of “terror-ific" parking on-site for all our groovy guests.

  • We recommend arriving on time to ensure you have the best experience. Please note there may be an additional wait outside of your designated time slot, so allow yourself some extra time. Should you arrive late/early we will still allow entry but your wait time may differ.

  • Yes indeed! We have a seating area where families can relax while guests who prefer not to participate enjoy the spooky thrills. It’s a perfect spot for everyone to stay entertained and comfortable. We now offer drinks, snacks and games during your wait.

  • In an emergency situation, or if you are unable to continue through the house, staff members will guide you out through several emergency exits within the experience.

  • Andi is our mascot and the one responsible for the scenes you will experience— he’s a demon who needs souls to survive and he would like nothing more than for you to join us for a grand ol’ time Behind The Screams at 1D Studios.
